Rudri- the storyline

This story plays in a small village called “Panjur Katti” in remote North Karnataka. “Rudri”, who is living with her grandmother in small a hut is an sweet orphan girl. She is a jovial, brave and helpful person working in a small wayside restaurant that is a kilometre away from the village. She is very close to the hotel owner Shivabasappa as he treats her like his daughter. One day in the evening around 7pm four drunkards walk into the hotel for dinner. The intoxicated men see that there is noone in the hotel except Rudri. The men pass ugly comments, which Rudri ignores. Later, when she extends her hand to collect the money from them, the lights go off. Seeing pretty Rudri and her slender figure, the drunk men get aroused and gang rape her brutally in the dark. Victimized Rudri is shattered and broken by the incidence. She decides to commit suicide as she is unable to bear the pain and tolerate the suffering. She runs to the lake to end her life but her inner voice tells her not to as it was not her fault. Infact, she decides to take revenge and kill those who have ruined her life.

Will she succeed? Will she be able to kill all four of them or will she take the path of forgiveness? Will she come closer to god? What will she decide for herself? All these questions will be answered in our story of a young girl who is robbed of her innocence and is turned in to a strong woman by circumstances.
