VETERAN KANNADA ACTOR REBEL STAR AMBARISH IS NO MORE
It’s a black Saturday for Kannada film industry. Actor,congress MLA,former state union minister Ambareesh passed away. 66 years old veteran actor was suffering from kidney and lungs disorder. Saturday 24 of November evening, due to breathlessness,he was taken for medication but actor took his last breath on the way to Vikram hospital Bengaluru.
Ambarish is husband of actress Sumalatha, has a son named Abhishek Gowda.
He started his film career through Puttanna kanagal’s film Nagarahaavu. This film gave him the fame of role JALEELA and his first dialogue “Mere sappnokki Rani kabb ayegi tu” and the very famous ,“Yaak bulbul mathadakilva” which is still green in Kannada youngsters.
Ambarish is fondly called as “Ambi” by his fans, recently he played a lead role in film “Ambi Ning vayassayto”.he was the mentor and well wisher of Kannada film industry many controversies, problems were discussed and many have solved under his guidance.
He started his political career by joining Congress party before the 1994 assembly election. he campaigned for the party, he quit INC when he was denied for getting ticket to contest for the General Election. He instead joined the Janata Dal and won the election against a Congress candidate. He later rejoined the Congress party and was the MP from Mandya constituency for two terms and he was the union state minister under Manmohan singh government and was the minister of information and broadcasting in the 14th lok sabha and resigned the post over the cauvery water dispute.
Kannada film industry is feeling orphan , which was under the guidance of Ambi, who had over 40 years of experience in show bizz.
Ambaerish will be missed for his rebel acting and political work for his region Mandya.
