One of the Most Awaited Multi-Starrer Movie of 2020- Sadak 2

So after a long break due to the pandemic situation, Bollywood is somewhat getting back to its track. Several movies are lined up and are ready to be launched in OTT platforms. There are several OTT platform and there is a race within themselves to get the rights of any particular movie. One such movie with great expectation is Sadak 2 which is ready to be launched on the 28th of August, 2020 in Disney+Hotstar. As we all know the basic fact about the film that it is a sequel to the movie Sadak (1991) which was one of the greatest hits of 1991. It is said that the film was inspired by the American movie named Taxi Driver. 

Let’s start with beginning-SADAK(1991)

Sadak was the movie directed by Mahesh Bhatt under the production house of Mahesh Bhatt only (Vishesh Films). So the storyline of the movie starts from pointing out a pimp who used to run a brothel, naturally, he was an evil transgender pimp who used to employ innocent girls for this brothel. So the story revolves around Ravi (Sanjay Dutt) and Pooja (Pooja Bhatt). So Maharani (Sadashiv Amrapurkar) bought Pooja for Ravi and he falls in love with her innocence and her pain as well. Ravi witnessed her sister Roopa, who got into such trap only when she eloped with her lover, and eventually the Lover of Roopa sold her to pimp for prostitution. And because of which Roopa died after being diagnosed with STD. so incident left a huge mark on his entire future, he becomes a psychotic and faced many traumas in life.  

Ravi again met Pooja when she was trying to escape the brothel. Ravi with the help of Gotya(Ravi’s friend) arranged something and made Ravi Pooja’s that night customer. Ravi took her out and the confessed that he is in love with her and consoled her that he will keep visiting her every night as her customer. The next day he again visited her, but this time Maharani guessed that either he is mad or he is in love with pooja. He warned Ravi that since he runs the business for 30 long years he knew what’s going or not. After Ravi realized it won’t be easy to live with Pooja, he escaped with Pooja from the brothel but Maharani’s men were waiting for them. 

After a long sequence and chase and fight, Ravi manages to kill Maharani and rescuing all the girls along with Pooja. Ravi was jailed because of killing Maharani, after he was bailed from the jail, he and Pooja reunited again and lived happily.

Is SADAK-2, a conclusion or there are some more stories?

So the trailer of Sadak-2 has been released on the 12th of August worldwide on Youtube. The trailer started with Sanjay Dutt mourning about Pooja(Pooja Bhatt) after her demise. And Alia Bhatt who booked a cab who’s driver eventually become Sanjay Dutt, Alia has a mission to expose some sort of fake gurus because of whom she lost a close one in her life. the plot is majorly shooted in Ooty. Alia is in deep love with Vishal(Aditya Roy Kapoor). So according to the trailer, it looks like it is a fight against all fake gurus and how this team conquers against the conspiracy of such gurus.

The trailer looks promising, the film is being directed by Mahesh Bhatt produced under the banner of Vishesh Films. The star cast is Sanjay Dutt, Pooja Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Gulshan Grover, Jisshu Sengupta, Priyanka Bose, Makarand Deshpande and more. the scenario which is surrounding the movie in the real world is not supporting at all. We’ll have to wait for the release to review in detail about the movie, but for now, let’s hope for the best
