Mumbai / Representative: ‘6th My Mumbai International Short Films Festival’ will be held from 19th to 21st October 2018 in Malini Kishore Sanghvi Shantiprabha auditorium at Juhu. ‘Universal Marathi’ and ‘Ritambhara Vishva Vidyapeeth’s Malini Kishore Sanghvi College’ has been organized this FESTIVAL. Within the first 3 weeks, 500 short films have participated among 41 countries. There will be an array of different programs in this 3-days festival. Being the 6th year of the festival will host programs like Panel discussion, workshops, Expert guidance in Film-making, discussions and your queries will be answered by famous filmmakers and producers. Sounds exciting? Well, there are lots more!
Entrepreneurs from 40 countries across 5 continents have visited this gala festival. It includes Portuguese, Egypt, Argentina, USA, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, Russian Federation, Chile, Iran, Uruguay, Greece, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Algeria, Romania, Malaysia, Italy, Uganda, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Switzerland, Peru, Germany, United Kingdom, Morocco, South Korea, Denmark, Russia, Palestine, Nepal, Sweden, Slovenia, China, Costa Rica, Poland, Canada, Puerto Rico. This year, there has been a significant increase in the number of short films in the Foreign language (International Short Films category). The response is increasing every day.
FREE ENTRY has been encouraged by the short filmmakers for the festival held internationally. There are 7 categories where you can showcase your talents – social awareness, international short film (foreign film), animation film, fiction film, Adfilm, music video and documentary (documentary) and lots more.
Deadline for film submission is 15th September 2018.
BMM-film club of Malini Kishore Sanghvi College plays an active role with the Universal Marathi team in organizing this festival. The festival is a conceptualized and you’ll be exposed to dignitaries and world-class Directors of the film industry.
Short filmmakers will get the opportunity to discuss with renowned Directors on different topics. Entries of the festival will be examined by experts in this field. Selected films will be screened at this 3-day festival. Each of the nominations will be given a ‘Best Short Film’ winner and ‘Best Performance’ by a Personal Technical Award (Technical Achievement).
WINNERS of the short film category will be honored with a Cash prize, trophy, and Certificate.
