A historical period fantasy horror film directed by debutant Rahi anil barve and Adesh prasad.

The story grows arround a village named tumbbad, brahmin family and an old mansion, which rumoured to be having treasure.

The movie’s teaser had created a huge expectation on the screen play and the story but lost in its promotion. with the budget of 5 crores, it is 104 minutes short films but secured 21 crores in the box office.

Old mansion’s paranormal actions steals the show, sohum shah as a producer and the as an actor given justic to the role of Vinayak the lead of the story.

Rainy season ,old mansion is shown at its best in the movie Tumbbad, credit goes to the cinemauotographer pankaj kumar.

The movie team is planning to release the sequel of the movie in the lead of shum shah ut with different characters. Movie released in Hindi and Marati.
