Astha Short Film | Pradeep Parameshwar, Satya Pictures
The story is about Shamanna who is a #Yakshagana artist from Coastal Karnataka. Shamanna in his old age dealing with his declining years and his daily struggles with life all by himself, makes friends with two guys in his own village. The story describes the desires Shamanna has at his age. It also reflects the condition of people living in Coastal Karnataka and Kerala, whose kids leave their parents in search of careers while focused on earning money in cities or abroad. Though Shamanna gets temporary support from two guys – Ravi and Decosta, the question is how long this relationship is going to last.
The film won Best Short Film Award at the Tv5 Shortwood Festival, Best Film Award & Editor Award In Aithihya Film Festival, Best Story and Screenplay award in Tv5 Shortwood festival, Best Director Award in Karunaadu Short Film festival.
